Heartbreak

Holding on,

Just to keep going,

Is it ok not to survive this?

Waiting for the pain to end,

The flip side of love,

I hear myself say.

Going crazy,

Trying to hold on,

Watching as you leave again,

My heart in shatters on the floor,

This isn't love,

I hear myself say.

Washing away,

These tears fall so willingly,

The sign of a broken soul,

Crying until there is nothing left,

Got to carry on,

I hear myself say.

Standing tall,

Picking myself up off the floor,

Dusting myself off and holding my own,

Seeing and enjoying life once more,

Life goes on,

I hear myself say.
